About

The Band

So, you are looking for more information about our band. Well you've come to the right place, maybe the only place. Heh. Well, first off, there are only two of us. Eric Clemenzi plays guitar and sings vocals in some cases and I am Dan Levine. I play drums, bass and I sing on a few songs as well. A few years ago, I went to Eric's house on a recommendation from a friend of mine. I have been a drummer for most of my life, but I was looking to get some guitar lessons because I had a really weird project I wanted to do, and it had a lot of guitar work. After a few sessions, he asked me if I had written any songs. Oddly enough, I had written a few songs on bass. And by a few, I mean about 300. But I never showed them to anyone. Eric asked me to bring one to our next lesson. Now we have a bunch of albums. We just keep making songs. We try to keep our music independent and fund everything ourselves, so we have to keep working in order to support it. It's very busy and sometimes exhausting, but we are very thankful for all of it.

There are people out there that are not so fortunate. Also, the world is kind of insane right now and I think that we should be working to make things better. So, we take half of the money we make from the sales and streams of our music and put it towards a different charity. I'm not sure I like the word charity. I try to think of it as helping. I have some information about each organization we support below. Please remember, we are not a charity organization ourselves. If you have any questions about them, please follow the links to find out more information. Thanks.

The Charities

Global Penguin Society \m/ Half of Adelie proceeds will go to Global Penguin Society.

Free Software Foundation Free software, yes... excellent. I guess someone has to, um... pay for it, for it to uh, be free. :-| Half of Adjective proceeds will go to The Free Software Foundation.

Navy Seal Foundation The Navy Seal Foundation. Respect. Aerobat.

Acadia Center A big island of floating trash. It's a thing. Half of Allegory proceeds go to Acadia Center.

Boston Bruins Foundation What is better than a hockey team dedicated to kids in New England? Half of Daedal proceeds will go to the Boston Bruins Foundation.

Union of Concerned Scientists Ok, here we are at Eight, our fourth release. Does that make sense? There are a lot of problems we face in life as humans. Some of them are bigger than others. Dealing with them, in our opinion, is all about asking questions. But how do we fix things like food shortages or nuclear waste disposal? We have no idea, but there has to be someone who does. The Union of Concerned Scientists, from their website: "...develop and implement innovative, practical solutions to some of our planet’s most pressing problems..." Seems like a good place to start. So half of the proceeds from Eight will go to UCS.

Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Release number three, Flack, is dedicated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. CF is such a difficult disease, it affects breathing and shortens life. There are not a lot of organizations that look to create cures. The CF Foundation is trying, and that says a lot. Hopefully, half of the proceeds from Flack will help.

American Heart Association Our second release, Hacked, is dedicated to the American Heart Association. Afib, the last song on this one, is short for atrial fibrillation, which affects many people in the United States, including both Dan (drums/bass) and Eric (guitars). We thought this would be a good place to donate half of the proceeds from Hacked.

St Jude Children's Hospital For our first release we chose St. Jude Children's Hospital. An organziation that helps kids with serious health issues. We hope that giving half of the proceeds from Trackway to St. Jude will help.
